Today’s Words of Wisdom artwork comes from Suzannah Pettigrew…enjoy!
Describe a bit about yourself and your work?I’m an artist and co-founded Over It & Co. I work with an array of materials including paint, print, montage and installation media. I use art to explore the seductive and ephemeral nature of modern existence through the themes of love, loss, death and desire. Aiming to provide a modern day social commentary with a satirical disposition.

What are your words of wisdom and why?My words of wisdom were: Make Art with Integrity. Have Fun. See The World. I set these little groups of words a while back to remind me of what’s important.
Who is your role-model?My family, Lee Miller, Peter Blake, Susan Sontag, Eduardo Paolozzi and Peter Kennard.
Upcoming projects?I’ll be working with Art against Knives to produce and curate a group show and auction in the summer, creating work for a group show in June and planning my next solo show.

Launched in 2011 by Teo Connor and Loren Platt on the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, the W Project celebrates women working across the creative industries through a lively mixture of events and activities. We aim to promote empowering role-models and help build a better creative community for the future.
